Production Music at It’s Finest

About once a week we sit down and review recent placements to see where Sonic Beat Records music has been used. This one really caught our attention, and we thought it was worth sharing with you because it’s a perfect example of how production music can elevate everything about a scene in a TV show or movie.

We really have to hand it to the Music Supervisor / Editor on The HBO Original Series, Hard Knocks: The Dallas Cowboys for putting this together. In the scene, Ezekiel Elliott is wrapping a present for the first time ever. Here is that scene coupled with Proton, an upbeat, good-mood track from our album Playful Wonders to set the mood:

There is also a slightly different version of this same scene, but without any music in support. This really shows the difference that production music can make in the right placement.

We were able to track down another another great usage from the promos for the show as well. While we don’t have a music-less comparison video on this one, we thought it was worth sharing as well. Our track In It 2 Win It from Trap City is front and center, lining up perfectly with a big play for the Cowboys against the Steelers.
